These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Oakley Electrical. By requesting a quote or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Services
Oakley Electrical provides electrical services including, but not limited to:
Domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural electrical work
Electrical installations and upgrades
Inspection and testing (including EICRs and landlord certificates)
Fault finding and repairs
Lighting, consumer unit upgrades, CCTV and fire alarms
All work will be carried out in accordance with current UK regulations and industry standards.
Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for a reasonable period unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on the information available at the time
Additional work or unforeseen issues may result in revised costs
Any changes will be discussed and agreed before proceeding
Booking and acceptance
A booking is confirmed once you have accepted a quotation, either verbally or in writing.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel work where necessary, including where safety concerns arise.
Payment terms
Payment terms will be agreed prior to work commencing.
Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed
For larger projects, staged payments may be required
Late payments may result in additional charges
Oakley Electrical reserves the right to suspend or withhold services until payment is received.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule work, please provide as much notice as possible.
Cancellations at short notice may incur a charge
We reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances such as emergencies or delays on other jobs
Access and responsibilities
You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property for the duration of the work.
The working area should be clear of obstructions where possible
We are not responsible for delays caused by restricted access or unsafe conditions
Liability
Oakley Electrical will carry out all work with reasonable care and skill.
We are not liable for pre-existing faults or issues not identified at the time of work
We are not responsible for damage caused by factors outside of our control
Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out
Guarantee
We stand by the quality of our workmanship.
Any issues relating to our work should be reported within a reasonable timeframe
We will assess and rectify faults where they are a result of our work
This does not cover issues caused by misuse, third-party interference or general wear and tear.
Emergency call-outs
We offer 24/7 emergency call-out services.
Emergency work may be subject to different pricing
Immediate payment may be required depending on the nature of the call-out
Materials and parts
Where materials or parts are required:
We will supply suitable products for the job
Availability may affect timelines
Ownership of materials remains with Oakley Electrical until full payment is received
Warranties
Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain parts or products.
We are not responsible for manufacturer defects but will assist where possible
Warranty claims are subject to the manufacturer’s terms
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us directly so we can resolve the issue promptly.
Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
